Susan's Story, Myanmar, February 2015
Our second trip to Myanmar and we enjoyed the usual tourist spots such as Shwedagon and Potataung Pagodas. We had covered many other significant sights on a previous trip. We enjoyed our walk through and around Victoria Park and to the Strand Hotel. The most moving moment came when we saw the terrible walls around the internment home of Nobel laureate and democracy promoter Aung San Suu Kyi. We were reminded how far Burma has to reach any semblance of escape from totalitarianism and corruption.
