Hiking, September 5, 2013
On my way to the Gauley River in West Virginia I stopped and hiked in Virginia at the Shot Tower Historical State Park on the New River. That afternoon I hiked in the New Gorge near Fayettville, West Virginia. I first visited Nuttlaburg, WV which at one time was a bustling coal mining town. Then I hiked to the mine at Kaymore, WV. A very nice day and tonight should be a good night for camping. /hugh
