New York With Lori, 5/22/2013
Lori and I had an adventure to remember on our annual trip to New York City. We arrived mid-morning and our flights were just minutes apart. Luggage in hand we hailed a taxi and were in the city and checked into our hotel before noon. After organizing the room we headed out to begin our explorations. On this visit we were blessed to be able to do almost everything we had on our agenda. We ate at Momofuku, The Spotted Pig, Otto, and 44&X. We went to two tapings of The Chew and were able to have our pictures made with Clinton Kelly! We met Barb and Beth, our dear friends from NJ, for dinner and a gab fest to catch up. We were able to get ½ price tickets to see Matthew Broderick in Nice Work If You can Get It and we explored the 911 Memorial site including the survivor tree. We had fun walking the High Line, exploring Chelsea Market, and trying on glasses at the Warby-Parker showroom. Lori was able to shop for her birthday gifts and I think she was happy with all we found. On Sunday we strolled in Central Park, ate brunch at Bell, Book, & Candle and took the train to NJ for the New York Red Bulls game! Good food, lots of laughter and mother-daughter time, what could be better!!!!!! Hurry up next year I can’t wait….. /susan
