Carlsbad, New Mexico, 5/8/2013
We were up early and on the road to New Mexico on a bright sunny day. We enjoyed the changing topography (don’t ask about Pecos) as we neared our destination. The caverns are a national park and proved to be one of the most outstanding sights we had ever seen. We walked the whole caverns and the size (16 football fields) was astounding. After the caverns we drove the desert trail and enjoyed the mountains. We then started our journey to El Paso and beyond ending our day in Mesilla, NM. /susan
