Spring Creek, April 12, 2013

During the Keelhauler Canoe Club annual Southern Rivers Week I had the opportunity to meet up with Mike Duvall, Joe Marksz, and Jeff Cramer in Hot Springs, North Carolina following a night of heavy rain. The French Broad River was running 10,300 cfs and Big Laurel was +1.2ft so we knew we had a great run for the day but we were able to get in a run on the seldom-run Spring Creek at +1ft. No one had ever seen this river so we took turns running probe. What a great little creek. How beautiful. Great run guys!!! /hugh
