Susan's Story, Our Indochina Adventure

Choeungkok Village has recently had fresh water access as a pilot program and the health of the children has already inproved. We took supplies to the local school children. We watched water buffalos swimming in a pond. Cambodia has no organized irrigation systems from the rivers as do Viet Nam and Thailand. Even this near the huge Mekong River the land is too dry for a second crop of rice. The two neighboring countries get three crops a year in this fertile soil. Very much poverty here. /susan
