Green River, Wyoming. River Festival 8/18/2012

I'm off for my big adventure to paddle in Wyoming, Idaho, and West Virginia for a month. On 8/15 I left Spartanburg and arrived in Louiville to see Cooper and Trey. Then I drove to Green River, Wyoming where they were having their annual River Festival. This is a wonderful little town with a huge Union Pacific RR yard. They built a water park with an adjustable kayak surfing wave in the Green River at the base of Expedition Island where the first runs of the Colorado River to the Pacific Ocean began. The festival was great and I entered the kayak rodeo. I really enjoyed the area and hope to come back! /hugh
