Susan's Story, The Black Sea & Holy Lands
The Prinsendam docked in Alexandria and we boarded a bus for our 2-day Egyptian adventure. It was an interesting two hour drive to Giza and we saw plenty of desert. Our first stop was to the very first pyramid known as the Step Pyramid. Excavation continues here. After lunch we visit the 3 big pyramids located where the desert meets Giza. Here also is located the Sphinx. The entire city currently has no garbage pickup and the situation is severe. At night a light show here was beautiful & informative. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel on the Giza side of the Nile. /susan
