Gauley Season Starts, September 6, 2010

I had been waiting all year for the start of Gauley season. For the first weekend we had over 50 Keel Hauler Canoe Club members camping at Battle Run Campground near Summersville, West Virginia. the weather was excellent the first two weekends. Dan Thomas came up and joined the club the second weekend. The whitewater was excellent, but there were two deaths on the river the Sunday of the second release weekend and they had to turn off the water early. I can't wait till next weekend!!! /hugh
