Packing Mission Supplies for Ghana, 10/3/09

Ever since Susan represented the Upstate Presbytery on a mission trip to Ghana in 2008 she has been collecting supplies for the Spartanburg Orphanage and the Spartanburg Hospital there. She has arranged so much support that now she has also arranged to rebuild a church. The Presbytery has raised over $25,000 for the project and Golden Strip Transfer has volunteered to store and ship the supplies in late winter. Today we organized what had been donated so far and started packing it up. I think there will be a lot more Satruday work parties before this project is done. /hugh
