Windows 7, 12/5/09
A day of upgrading the computers at hughbarrow.com to Windows 7. Frustrations in that it reformatted the drive with my picture and videos and I had to spend the weekend restoring from backup. Am also disappointed in that it won't run Stompsoft Digital Vault, copied Apple OS-X in too many places like making Windows Photo Viewer run a separate copy for every file it opens like QuickTime does. I do very much like HOMEGROUPS & LIBRARIES. Can't get any firewire to work (a shot at Apple?). Frustratingly it installed in such a way that it gave the one default user no privileges to open any files in that account but gave the ability to change them. Go figure!!! /hugh
