Lower Gauley River, 9/18/09
I so look foward to my annual trip to West Virginia with Rob Strangia's group. This year it was Rob, Craik, Gavin, Peter, Mike, and Kelly. We camped at Ray's Campground and put in at the new Wood's Ferry putin so we got to paddle both Ender Waves rapid and Back Ender Rapid. There were some gigantic waves!!! We all had great playboat runs except for Kelly's concussion (a great roll though, sorry about your pretty helmet!). We ate twice at Pies and Pints and once at the Cathedral Cafe. Sleep well folks, tomorrow is the Upper Gauley!!! /hugh
