After two great runs on the Upper Yough with John Kobak it was time for some playboating. I joined Keel-Haulers and friends Paul, Bud, Mary Jo, Fred, Coleen, Ben, Jessie, Eddie, Joei, Gary, Cody, & Katie in Ohiopyle, PA and we negotiated for river passes and put on at 11am. Paul showed me the hazards and lines. Weather was great and I especially liked playboating with Ben & Cody and surfing at Swimmers Rapid. I made my first descent of Killer Falls. I had been forewarned that it was too scary to look at so it was traditional to run it backwards. I later learned of a Keelhauler trip on which a raft flipped there. A wonderful river and town. What a great day. My third trip with the Keel-Hauler Canoe Club. /hugh
