Vortex Springs Diving 1/12/07

One of my favorite areas in the world is the Florida panhandle and I especially love the Karst limestone springs as diving locations. In times past Trey & I have both taken technical diving training there. I actually have done my longest ever dive there at over 4 hrs staying at 120 feet for an hour in exploration beyond the locked gate (to keep openwater divers & students out). I wanted to check out my dry suit after I worked on it. It was great to see Connie & Danny Taylor and the progress they have made with upgrades and expansion and it was great to learn that even bigger plans are in the works. One night I went to Destin to eat & was very sat to find that Miss Chen's restaraunt was out of business. It was a family favorite and we were very fond of Miss Chen. Can't wait to come back to the area!!! /hugh
