French Broad River 4/21/07

Dan & I paddle section IX of the French Broad River most Wednesday afternoons & have enjoyed the paddlers we meet there. I have especially enjoyed paddling with Chuck Clonninger who Trey & I met on the main Salmon River last July in Idaho. Today Jay Cross was to lead Dan & I on the Chatooga but the level was too low so we came to Hot Springs, NC to meet at the take out. Jay's son Parker was born prematurely in December and Jay had only paddled once this year on the US National Whitewater Center. He was glad to get away and paddle with us today. We ran Frank Bell rapid which is class IV with Jay & had a warm beautiful day. Can't wait to paddle with you again Jay!
