Cumberland River Kayaking 5/26/06

Trey & I had planned to paddle the Ocoee River this weekend but the gift of 2 tickets to the Indianapolis 500 prompted a change of plans. We met in central Kentucky of of I-75 near London, KY at Sheltowee Trace Outfitters for an arranged shuttle to the Cumberland River with their rafting trip of the day. It also included a "tow out" on a river boat the last 5 miles and lunch. Rick Egedi (more commonly known as Pappa Smurf), the owner of Sheltowee Trace Outfitters & his daughter were our hosts. The paddling was great, the lunch delicious, the hospitality Southern, & the value ( $15.00 each) excellent. We can't wait to try the other 2 seasonal rivers with them.
