Tame The Tyger Kayak Race 2004
The Tame The Tyger kayak and canoe race for 2004 was held 3/27 and was a great sucess! I always have fun on this race and actually it's the only time all year that I paddle hard this long. I came in 6th and got no prize. It was a beautiful day! /hugh
The river was low this year. What a beautiful day!
The shuttle was provided by Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and was really run nicely. The parking however....
The carry wasn't long.
Most people didn't race. They started earlier than the racers.
The committee was well organized.
The paddlers were ready!
My friend Eric Newton came up from Gerogia to paddle. He passed me like I was standing still. His dad, Dan, paddled with us last year but is on duty in Iraq now. Hurry back safe Dan!
Coming up on the finish line was a rapid.
A good croud was on hand to watch.
Good food and entertainment was provided at the finish. Can't wait till next year!
