The Hillbrook Lake Slowly Fills, Fall 2002
As noted in previous listings, the lake behind our house had to be totally emptied to fix the valve. The work was completed the third week of May and we had a drought this summer. Only now are we seeing water behind our house. I didn't get to paddle there this summer and my skills suffered. I am very glad to start seeing the end of this ordeal! The lake bed grew up in weeds. I kept them mowed behind our yard and our neighbors. I built a small dam in a creek to pump water for my lawn sprinkler. /hugh
