Venice, Florida Vacation

We just got back from our second October visit to Venice, Florida. Susan's great friend Gayle Singletary has let us use her condo two years now for a relaxing vacation. On our way we visited good Christian friends we met in Thailand. Dottie and Jack Shelton live in Winter Park, Florida. We arrived early on Friday and spent a half day in Universal Studios. Then we took Dottie and Jack out to eat. We had the very best seafood and the next day great Thai food! We spent the night at their glorious home with beautiful faux-marble walls! What hospitality! We arose early to go to a meeting of the Gideons. This is one form of Jack's service to God. We visited the Shelton's new church and were given a tour of Winter Park. Did they ever make a good choice of location to raise their family! Saturday afternoon we went to Venice. There we rode our bikes, walked on the beach, studied our Spanish lessons, and went out ot eat each night. What a nice town! On Sunday we walked to an antique car show. We hope to repeat the trip next year but will skip the Universal Studios which was a disappointment. /Hugh
